Seeking COPD Patients for Clinical Research Study

If you or someone you know are between 40 and 80 years old and are living with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), consider a clinical research study for help.

Local researchers at Helix BioMedics need COPD patients to help test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational treatment for COPD in adults.
You may qualify for participation if:
  • Are 40 to 80 years old
  • Have moderate to severe COPD
  • Are on a stable medication regimen for at least 1 month
  • Are a current or former smoker with a smoking history of at least 10 years
  • Have a history of chronic bronchitis in the past year
  • Have a recent exacerbation of symptoms, including:
    • 1 recent hospitalization due to COPD symptoms, OR
    • 2 recent, moderate exacerbations of symptoms while on corticosteroids
There are additional requirements to qualify for this study. A member of the study team will discuss these with you during screening.
