New Care Option for Schizophrenia Patients Available


If you or a loved one is living with schizophrenia, consider a clinical trial. Qualified individuals will be selected to participate in this study, which requires hospitalization for at least 28 days.

You may qualify for participation if you:
  • Are between 18 – 50 years old
  • Have had schizophrenia for at least 1 year
You may not qualify for participation if you:
  • Were diagnosed with schizophrenia more than 15 years ago
  • Are under involuntary commitment for your current episode because you were deemed a harm to yourself or others
  • Have committed an act of violence or assaultive behavior within the past 2 years
  • Currently live with tardive dyskinesia

 

 

There are additional requirements to qualify for this study. A member of the study team will discuss these with you during screening.

What is Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that impacts how an individual thinks, feels, and acts. Symptoms may include hallucinations, delusions, and disordered thinking that can have a negative effect on one’s ability to perform everyday tasks and maintain relationships.
